Loneliness is a major health Risk for adults

In this Article the author discusses how loneliness increases an elderly's chances of premature death and how socioeconomic status contributes to this as well. Researchers in this experiment found that satisfying relationships of the elderly helps develop their resilience. It is true that even though some people prefer to have alone time, most people thrive from social situations in which they provide mutual support. Cacioppo found that it wasn't physical isolation itself but the subjective sense that is disruptive.
