10 Rules of Groups

http://www.spring.org.uk/2009/07/10-rules-that-govern-groups.php

This article talks about 10 rules that govern groups. Among the rules, they mention experiments that have proven the rule, such as the Zimbardo Prison Experiment proving how roles in a group can change you. Another one, which has been mentioned in our textbook is how people loaf on effort when in groups compared to doing things along (i.e. People in a group for tug-a-war try less than a single person on a each side, reason being the individual in the group thinks that they are collectively stronger and less effort is needed.)
